My parents have a place where the GSM coverage isn't bad but nonexistent. Seems like all Tracfone CDMA phones, but one (the LG3280) charge roaming. So, if you're in an area where there's CDMA, but no GSM, and are going to roam, that's the one to get. The sad part is that this phone has no way to access the contacts list via USB (and no bluetooth at all), so it's a bad choice if you don't need CDMA, but if you're stuck...
