Most of the phones that Net10 uses use the At&t and or T-Mobile network. The CDMA phones use the Verizon network. They are only for sale in areas that do not have good coverage by At&t or T-mob.

It is 10 cents extra per text to send and recieve on a basic $40 a month Verizon phone. If you buy the $30 or larger Tracfone cards and have DMFL you will be 3.3 cents or less per text.

I did explain you had to spend the money to get the rate, I was breaking it down so people can compare it to the Verizon or AT&T rates of $45 to $100 per month.

It really does not work for everyone. If you want to talk a lot you will spend a lot of money. If you want to message people once in a while it is great.
