Net10 Cellular has always been 10 cents a minute, PAYG (pay as you go) . Until just lately you always received 300 minutes and sixty days of service when you activated your new Net10 phone. They have modified their charges for phones and for minutes. They now offer you Monthly plans which provide more minutes per dollar spent. You can also continue to purchase with the inexpensive PAYG plan they have always had.

New Net10 Prepaid Phone Pricing
You are still able to get some phones with 300 free minutes. They are also offering phones that come with a 750 minute one month phone card at Net10.com. All of the Net 10 phones do not come with 300 free minutes. Be sure to take a look at the fine print when getting a Net 10 Prepaid phone to ensure that you are getting free minutes. The majority of the under $25 phones will not come with 300 free minutes.
Roll Over with Net 10 Cellular
Carry over is now different for various Net10 plans. The $25 and $50 Monthly cards do not roll over time or minutes.
So if you purchase a Net10 Wireless “Monthly” Card you will get 30 days to use your 750 or Unlimited minutes. If you purchase a Pay as you Go minute card like the $30/60 day card then your service time and minutes will roll over but you must keep your service active.
The PAYG (pay as you go) cards do roll over minutes and service time.
Plan Changes with Net 10 Wireless
If you want to change from Pay as you go to Monthly service there is no extra charge. You can shift back to Pay as you go just by adding another pay as you go card. Don’t forget the Monthly cards do not roll over. Once you add a card with monthly service your previous card will become invalid.
Monthly Card Warning
If you are using the Monthly service plan and you add on another card your previous balance will not roll forward. For instance if you bought a 750 minute/30 day card and you have 100 minutes and 12 days left and you add another 750 minute card you will just end up with 750 minutes and 30 days, you will not end up with 850 minutes and 42 days. The Net10 Cellular Three Cents per Minute Plan is available for $25 per month.
It will cost at least $15 per month to keep your Net 10 Wireless phone active.

net 10 service stinks….i havevspent at lease 759 minutes in the past years, and the phones still insist in stopping my ring calls…etc.your box is not set up so go jump in the lake on your tel calls…people have stopped calling..they can not reach me…i am 81 years old …hey i do not much longer to live…please/please/improve your tel. service
I would recommend buying a new phone. You can usually get one for free. If the ringer on your current phone or voice mail won’t work, just get another phone.
It’s a shame that joseph has had such a bad experience. I’m hoping that is just an isolated case and not the norm. Currently in the hunt for a decent prepaid cell phone company because I’ve had it with the contract. I can’t believe how much I pay compared to some of the rates I’ve seen that prepaid offers. I just want to make sure I get what I pay for. I do think that so far, NET10 has the best all phone selection and plans. What can you tell me about the service. I understand they use Verizon and AT&T networks so you would think it should be pretty good.
I personally have not had any major issues with my NET10 service. I am covered under the Verizon network and haven’t had any dropped calls or anything since I got my phone a few months ago. They could beef up their customer service though, when I tried to call and ask a question I held for way too long.
Customer service with Tracfone, Net10 and Straight talk is definitely lacking. However if you can avoid using customer service the phone service is really cheap.
Depending on the model of phone you will either be on the Verizon or the At&t network. However customer service is provided by Tracfone/Net10. It leaves a lot to be desired however if you are familiar with how a cell phone works you will probably never need their customer service.
