I believe you in an area with very heavy usage. You are probably being dropped because of a system overload. I don’t know for sure.

I use and like (mostly) verizon prepaid.

My problem with verizon has been dropped calls, on some days it happens on almost every call I make or receive! I took my phone to a customer service center but they were not able to fix the problem. They said it might simply need a software upgrade which they did at no charge but it didn’t help much if at all. This last week I finally couldn’t take it any more and bought an almost new phone from someone on craiglist. I took the phone directly to the verizon store and had them check it out before I closed the deal. Everything was fine so I had them switch my account over to the new phone but I still have the same problem.

Here is what happens; during a phone conversation I will hear to tones which sound similar to a busy signal only faster and immediately the call is cut off. This can and does happen even with full signal strength.

I know it is not due to signal lost because when that happens the tones are much different and that only happens with a weak signal.

I would be glad for any info on this!

You will have to pay an extra $10 for unlimited texting to other Verizon users. This will be on top of the daily charges.

On your Verizon phone click Menu–settings–My Verizon. This is where you can change plans and contact Verizon.

Hey I’m having problems getting my verizon prepaid plan changed. Could anyone give me the customer service number to speak with a person. All the numbers I found just get me to an auto system.

You will have to pay an extra $10 a month to get unlimited text messaging to verizon customers with Verizon prepaid. This is on top of the $1 per day of usage. For $20 a month you can get unlimited Texting (on top of the $1 per day usage).

I am getting a new phone and plan and I am wondering if I get Verizon Pepaid, can I text other people with Verizon for free? I don’t call as much as I text and most of my fiends have Verizon and I am trying to find the best plan for me.

Hey Cody,
I have had just the opposite experience with Verizon customer support. I have called them twice. Both times they gave me extra time back.

I have talked for several hours in a day on my Verizon phone and never spent more than one dollar a day. Several of my friends and all my kids have Verizon.

Talk for 3 hours helping your daughter with her web site some time on Virgin Mobile or Tracfone for One Dollar?

Verizon Prepaid is expensive if you do not use it wisely.

Good point, I would recommend not answering a phone call on a prepaid phone from someone you do not know.

Verizon Prepaid does not charge you if your phone rings but you do not answer it.

Verizon Prepaid is not for everyone, that is for sure.

If you have friends that are on Verizon that you want to talk a lot with it can be great.

I think verizon prepaid is dumb. First of all, the phones normally come with $10 and all of it was spent in the first week because of someone having my number before me. So I called verizon to get my number changed and some lady that I could barely understand wouldn’t even give me some of my money back.So customer service blows!Even if you make or recieve one phonecall a day it makes you pay the dollar, two dollars, or even three dollars. I think this phone is great is you want crappy prepaid network.I say if your going to get prepaid get virgin mobile or trafone(the best).
